Aligning leadership behavior, systems and strategy

Culture is not an initiative. It is the consequence of how leadership systems operate — how decisions are made, how power is exercised, and how accountability is enforced. When these systems are misaligned, culture becomes a drag on performance rather than a source of strength.

I work with organisations to address culture at a systemic level, focusing on the human systems that shape behaviour at scale. So culture shifts in practice — with clearer decisions, stronger accountability, and more usable challenge, leading to higher trust and sustained performance over time.

Where organisations typically struggle

Culture strategies exist, but behaviour does not change

Inclusion efforts lose momentum or credibility

Systems and incentives contradict stated values

Leaders underestimate their role in shaping culture

How I work at system level

I help organisations strengthen the human systems that determine performance — so culture becomes an operating condition, not an aspiration. Culture is shaped through leadership, yes — and also through the policies people live inside, what gets rewarded, how structures enable (or block) good decisions, and the everyday “moments of truth” between colleagues. We make those forces visible, then align them with strategy so psychological safety, usable challenge, and clear accountability show up in real work — especially under pressure.

See the impact in action

Culture doesn’t shift because leaders “care more.” It shifts when leadership behaviour, governance, and accountability are aligned strongly enough that the desired culture becomes the default — especially under pressure.

Common Questions

What types of organisations do you work with?

I work with FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, public sector organisations, third sector, and central and local government. My clients range from individual executives seeking coaching to entire leadership teams and organisations pursuing culture and psychological safety transformation.

Engagements are tailored to your goals, but most leadership team and culture programmes run over several months to allow for meaningful behavioural and systemic change. Executive coaching containers typically span three to twelve months so we can move beyond insight into embedded, sustainable shifts in how you lead and make decisions.

My work sits at the intersection of leadership effectiveness, culture, and psychological safety, so we focus on the human systems that determine performance rather than isolated workshops or one-off interventions. I blend behavioural science, inclusive leadership expertise and deep, compassionate challenge to create safe but stretching spaces where senior leaders and teams can do the real work—naming what’s unsaid, shifting mindsets, and turning insight into practical ways of working under pressure.

Yes, I offer both virtual and in-person coaching and facilitation for individuals, leadership teams, and organisations. Many clients choose a blend of online and in-room sessions to balance depth of connection with flexibility for global and geographically dispersed teams.

You’re likely ready if you know that something in your leadership, team dynamics, or culture needs to shift and you’re prepared to be honest, do the inner work, and take action between sessions. My best-fit clients are senior leaders and teams who want a trusted thought partner to help them align who they are with how they lead, strengthen the human system behind performance, and create cultures where people genuinely thrive.
